Join Ali Pearson and Dr. Fran Lexcen for this program on how automatic decline to adult Superior Court works and strategies for getting your client’s cases returned to juvenile court.
Ali Pearson (Spencer Anderson Buhr, PLLC.) is an experienced public defender who has recently left the Defender Association after working many years with juvenile offenders. She will discuss the strategies in getting kids back to court and successes in getting good results on serious cases. Dr. Fran Lexcen is a Forensic Examiner with the Child Study and Treatment Center who has done extensive work on adolescent brain development. She will discuss the decision-making process for juveniles and why adolescents behave in the way that they do. 2.0 general credits have been requested for this training.
