Attorney General Holder Announces Strategy for Child Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction

Attorney General Eric Holder has announced the Department of Justice's (DOJ's) National Strategy for Child Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction. The strategy provides a comprehensive assessment of the dangers facing children from child pornography, online enticement, child sex tourism, commercial sexual exploitation, and sexual exploitation in Indian Country. It also offers a blueprint to strengthen the fight against such crimes.

As part of the strategy, the U.S. Marshals Service is launching an operation targeting the nation's 500 most dangerous, noncompliant sex offenders. DOJ is also relaunching the Web site of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative that combats the proliferation of technology-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children.
